Privacy Policy - STB
Welcome to STB, a financial services application that allows you to manage your money easily and efficiently (the “Application”). With the application, you can create a digital bank account in shekels, dollars, or euros, make money transfers to recipients in Israel and abroad, convert money, and issue and manage STB cards.
We, STB Union Ltd. (“Company”, “we/us”), have developed the application and operate it. This policy explains what information we collect through the application and how we process it. The collection of information depends on your consent and desire.
This policy integrates with the application’s terms of use and is an integral part of them.
The privacy policy is worded in the masculine language for convenience only but is of course intended for all genders.

- You are required to create a user account to use the application.
- We collect three types of information about your activity:
- Personal information that identifies you, which you provide to us when registering and using the application.
- Information related to your activity in the application and the transactions you make. It is collected automatically.
- Operational and analytical information. This information is used by us for the ongoing operation of the application, to understand user needs, solve operational problems, and improve the application and the services we offer.
- We also collect personal information about the beneficiaries you have set up in your account. By providing this information, you acknowledge that you have received consent from the beneficiaries to provide us with their information.
- We will only use the information we collect for the purposes defined in this privacy policy. We will share some of the information we have collected with regulatory and law enforcement agencies to conduct audits required by law in connection with financial services. Also, we are expected to share your personal information with our service providers as well as related parties in the event of the acquisition of the company or its merger, but they will be required to process the information according to the provisions of this policy.
- The application contains links to third-party pages, applications, and websites, which are not managed by us. Their use is subject to the privacy terms stated therein and not to the terms of this privacy policy.
- You may request to verify the information we collect about you. If you believe that the information we have is incorrect, complete, or accurate, you may request that it be corrected.
- You can terminate the contract with us at any time by sending us a request. The termination of the contract will take effect only after existing obligations (financial or otherwise) between us have been fulfilled. You must make sure in advance that all the actions you have requested have been fulfilled. We will not delete your personal information after the end of the contract because we are required to keep it for an additional period due to accounting requirements, to document transactions, as well as according to anti-money laundering laws.
- We may change the policy from time to time. We will inform you about the change through the application, by e-mail, or SMS. Your continued use of the application after we have informed you of the change constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
- Information collected through the application
- The information you provide to us. When you sign up for the application, you will be asked to create a user account and provide us with your full name, phone number, address, date of birth, gender, ID card number, and related information such as the date the card was issued and its validity date. We will also ask that you provide us with a photo of your ID card as well as a selfie (selfie) to compare with the photo on your ID card to verify your identity.
- If you request to open an STB wallet or issue a card such as the STB Visa, you will be asked to provide us with additional information, such as information about your occupation, your expected monthly turnover on the account or card, and your tax residency in other countries (if any).
- The details of the information we collect from you when you sign up for the application and when you submit a request to open an STB wallet or to issue a card, such as an STB Visa, are the information we are required to collect by law when you join an online financial service.
- In any case, when you contact us through one of the contact channels available through the app, we will collect data related to your identity. These details will identify you, depending on the content of the referral you initiated.
- There is no legal obligation for you to provide us with personal information in the cases listed above, and you provide it of your own free will. However, your refusal to provide information may prevent us from registering you for the application, providing you with services within it, or responding to your inquiries.
- Information we collect automatically. When you use the application, we collect information related to your activity in the app, including information about money transfers you made, money transferred to you, money withdrawals you made, etc. This information is used by us to analyze your activity in the application to display activity reports that are available only for your review.
- We also collect operational information and a variety of analytics. Among other things, we collect information about your interaction with the application’s user interface, the Internet Protocol address (IP Address) used by your device,advertisind id, and general details about your device and its operating system. We use this information for the ongoing operation of the application, to understand user needs, resolve operational issues, and improve and enhance the application and the services we offer.
- Permission to use your device. The app uses several components on your device to collect information. Before we access a particular component for the first time, we will ask for your permission to do so. If you refuse to permit us to access a component, we will not be able to use it, and this may prevent us from registering you with the application, providing you with services within it, or responding to your inquiries.
- When you register with the app, we will request access to your camera component to take your selfie in real-time. Without granting permission to access the camera, we will not be able to complete the registration procedure and allow you to open an account in the application.
- In addition, when you sign up for the application, we will ask you for permission for the following components that you do not need to grant us access to use the application:
- Your phone’s internal storage to upload an existing photocopy of your ID and other documents.
- Your contacts to create beneficiaries for money transfers.
- Face ID for easy and fast connection to the application without the need to enter a password.
- GPS (location data) to find company branches nearest to your current location.
- You can change your preferences regarding access permissions to the components of your device at any time, using your device settings menu.
- The information you give us about others. You can list the recipients to whom you may make money transfers. If you choose to designate a beneficiary, you will be asked to provide us with his full name, country of residence, phone number, and the nature of the relationship between you (for example parent and child, siblings, spouses, etc.), and additional information that we will request from you (for example, the beneficiary’s bank account). You may choose to provide us with his full address as well. By providing the personal information of beneficiaries, you confirm that you have been given their consent to provide the details to us and that they have also agreed to this privacy policy.
- Use of collected information and its transfer to others
- We will store the information described above in our system (database number 700066402) and use it for the following purposes and in the following ways:
- To complete transactions that you have asked to be completed or that others have requested to execute with you. We may share your information with other financial institutions involved in the execution of a transaction. These institutions will use your personal information for this purpose only and in accordance with our privacy policy.
- To send you a receipt in an SMS message for every transaction you have made through the application.
- To verify your identity when you sign up for the application and to perform any checks required by law in connection with financial transactions, including checks related to fraud prevention and the prohibition of money laundering. As part of this, we will be required to transfer your information to regulatory authorities.
- To document the transactions you will make as part of your use of the application, including the payer and recipient of each transaction, the amount of the transaction, and other details that we are required to document by law. We may share your information with various third parties, such as regulatory and enforcement authorities if we are required to do so.
- To create reports for you that analyze your usage patterns of the application services and provide you with personalized offers and recommendations based on them.
- To send you information about our services and any other marketing information from time to time by email or any other method if you have agreed to it. If you do not wish to receive these messages, you can choose not to join our mailing list or remove yourself from it by any means provided to you as part of the messages you will receive from us. It is clarified that consent to this privacy policy constitutes consent for the purpose of the provisions of section 30a of the Telecommunications Law (Bezeq and Services), 1982.
- For the day-to-day operation of the application, its improvement and refinement, for conducting analyzes and data analysis, as well as for the development of new tools and services.
- To respond to your inquiries and provide you with technical support when required (if you have contacted us for this purpose).
- To enforce our privacy policy and terms of use, prevent misuse of the application, comply with legal requirements, or assist various authorities.
- To take action in the event of a legal dispute in which you are involved regarding the application.
- We may share the information we have collected with companies associated with us in the same group of companies (subsidiaries, sister companies, etc.) as well as with parties that provide us with services. All of them will be required to process the information according to the provisions of this policy.
- We have the right to transfer information we collect if our business undergoes a reorganization under a different legal system or structure (for example, in connection with a company purchase or merger), but those other parties who receive information from us will act in accordance with the provisions of this policy (with mandatory modifications, as applicable).
Some of the third parties to whom we transfer the information may be located outside of Israel. You hereby give us your express consent to the transfer of the information for storage and processing outside of Israel.
- Links to third-party content
- The application includes links to third-party pages, applications, and websites that are not managed or operated by the company or on its behalf, such as WhatsApp chat. We do not control or monitor these pages, apps, and websites, and cannot guarantee that third parties will protect your privacy in the same way that we protect it. Their use is governed by the privacy terms stated therein, not the terms of this privacy policy.
- Data Security
- We implement measures to reduce the risks of damage, loss, and unauthorized access to personal information. However, these measures never guarantee absolute protection against information security threats. Therefore, we do not guarantee, and you cannot expect that the application and its related information systems will be immune to information security risks.
- Your rights in connection with the information
- You can request to review the information we collect about you. If you believe that the information we have is incorrect, complete, or accurate, you may request that it be corrected. You can send us a request to verify or correct the information by emailing support@stbunion.com.
- Termination of agreement
- You can end the contract with us at any time by sending a request to end the contract through the chat in the application or by sending an email to support@stbunion.com. When submitting a request to end the contract by email, you must include details that will help us identify you, including your full name, ID number, and your wallet number. We may ask you for additional identification information if deemed necessary.
- Termination will only take effect when each party’s existing obligations (financial or otherwise) to the other party have been satisfied. When we consider that there are no more pending debts between you and us, we will send you confirmation of this. We will then close your STB wallet, cancel the cards we have issued to you such as STB Visa that you have, and close your account in the application.
- Before you submit your termination request, it is your sole responsibility to verify that all bank transfers, transactions, and other operations you requested to perform on your account or card have been completed. After the termination of your contract and deactivation of your in-app account, you will have no claims and/or complaints against the company in connection with your account or card, including transfers or transactions that have not been successfully completed.
- Please be aware that we will not delete your personal information after the end of the contract because we are required to keep it for an additional period due to an accounting need, to document transactions, as well as according to anti-money laundering laws. In addition, we may continue to retain anonymous or aggregated information we need to manage our business, as well as identifying information about your actions in the application that may be required to manage legal proceedings. However, we will no longer use this information to contact you.
- Changes to the privacy policy
- We may change the privacy policy from time to time. In such case, we will inform you about the policy change through the application or e-mails, or SMS messages. If you do not agree to the new policy, you must cease the use of the application. Your continued use of the application after we have informed you of the policy change constitutes your acceptance of the new policy. In any case, the new policy will always be available for reference through the application itself.
